A Prayer She Didn't Know She Prayed
A client story - shared with her permission, name withheld for privacy, but for integrity reasons I copied exactly how she tells her story.
When I met Stacie, I was in the midst of my husband transitioning toward death, although I didn’t fully know it yet.
A few days before meeting her, I was sitting in prayer and meditation when I received a very clear message: "Someone is going to be sent to help you."
Two days later, Stacey sat in my chair for her first appointment with me. At the time, I was struggling with trigger finger from years of being a hairstylist and was wearing a finger splint. During that appointment, she looked at me and asked, “What are you holding on to that no longer serves you?”
In that moment, despite it being our first meeting, my spirit recognized hers. I instantly knew she was the person I had been told would be sent to me. I immediately replied, “This isn’t really about my finger, is it?” Then I asked, “Are you spiritual? Because I am, and I feel something here.”
As we talked, Stacie explained the work she does and how she helps people. If I’m being honest, I didn’t fully understand exactly what she did, but something inside me knew I was supposed to trust the process. I moved forward on blind faith because I felt it in my spirit.
We began working together on the mental, emotional, and spiritual things I needed in order to function. At the time, I still didn’t know my husband was in transition. He had struggled with alcoholism for over 20 years, and shortly after I met Stacie, I learned he had relapsed. A month later, my husband passed away.
I was completely lost.
I tried everything. I often joke that I looked like someone sitting upside down on the beach with sage in one hand, a Bible in the other, crystals all around me, and somehow feeling more lost than ever. I was searching everywhere for answers, healing, and peace.
Throughout it all, Stacie remained patient. She never shamed me, never told me what to do, and never tried to impose her beliefs on me. Instead, she asked powerful questions that helped me find my own answers. She has always seen my value and worth, even when I couldn’t see it myself, and she continually encouraged me to trust myself.
What I appreciate most is that she never encouraged me to live in my trauma or allow it to define me. She taught me how to acknowledge it, feel it, learn from it, and then release it. She helped me understand that my past was part of my story, but it didn’t have to become my identity.
She has also given me practical tools that I can use in my daily life—tools that help me regulate myself, reconnect with myself, and navigate challenges as they arise. Just as importantly, she has been a consistent source of support when I spiral, lose my footing, or find myself struggling. Knowing I have someone I can reach out to, trust, and be honest with has been invaluable. That consistency and connection have helped me more than I can adequately put into words.
My life had been completely turned upside down. Everything I thought I knew about my future had been ripped away. I went from feeling certain about where my life was headed to barely recognizing my own life. I felt helpless.
Through the work we did on my mind, body, and soul, I slowly began to find hope again.
One area where I was especially resistant was hypnosis. We talked about it for nearly a year before I was willing to try it. Stacie never pushed me. She allowed me to arrive at that decision in my own time.
For years, I struggled with an intense craving for connection, validation, and sex. It felt like something I couldn’t control, and I didn’t understand why. I went to therapy searching for answers. I knew the root of the issue intellectually, but knowing the root didn’t free me from the pattern.
Through hypnosis, I experienced something profound. I connected with what I can only describe as my higher self and was able to embody the woman I knew I was meant to be. Since then, the constant craving that once tormented me has disappeared. The freedom I have experienced is difficult to put into words.
That freedom has allowed me to stay present instead of constantly leaving myself in search of something outside of me. It has allowed me to truly exist in my life and become a better version of myself.
The impact has touched every area of my life—my relationship with myself, my family, my clients, and my future. For the first time in a very long time, I can see a future that excites me. A future I had honestly given up on.
I am still a work in progress, and Stacie continues to hold me accountable without pressure, judgment, or hand-holding. She reminds me of my own power while allowing me to walk my own path.
Today, I have a level of hope that I never had before—not even before my husband passed away.
When I look back, I truly believe Stacie was the answer to a prayer I didn’t even fully understand when I prayed it. I cannot imagine where I would be today had she not crossed my path.
I trust her deeply, I love her dearly, and I am forever grateful for the role she has played in helping me find myself, my hope, and my life again.
